The DRC at Wokha District was upgraded to a fully fledged District Institute of Education and Training (D.I.E.T) and became the seventh D.I.E.T,  in the state which was inaugurated on 24th June in the year  2014.

Although the D.El.Ed Pre-Service Training programme commenced only the following year (2015), short term training programme for In-Service was conducted at Wokha and Bhandari block respectively.

Our goal is to deliver quality teacher training both at the primary and elementary level in the District. The new campus is now located at Vungoju colony. At present, there are 36 trainees in the Second year and 30 trainees in the First year D.El.Ed Regular 2-year course.
